Situated in the Sierra de Aracena Nature Reserve, Molino Río Alájar is a collection of 6 charming cottages amidst breathtaking scenery in a little known part of Andalucia. A haven for hikers, bird lovers, horse riders, sun worshippers and lovers of the Spanish lifestyle. Discover Jabugo, a town famous for its Pata Negra ham, just 12 minutes’ drive from the Molino or Cortegana, which has an impressive castle, a 20-minute drive away. Alájar is a short distance away and has a great selection of bars and restaurants offering the best of Andalusian cuisine. Fiestas and festivals take place throughout the year in the area, and the natural cycle of the seasons in the Sierra provides a rich variety of sights, sounds and produce.

The cottages -built of local stone- feature a stylish rustic décor with tiled floors and wooden beams and sleep 2 to 5 people. Each one has a furnished patio with views of the countryside. Facilities include air conditioning in the bedroom, a separate lounge with a fireplace and a TV and DVD player. The fully equipped kitchens come with a kettle, and a hob. Guests can pick their own herbs and vegetables in the garden. Bathrooms have a shower.

If not exploring the surroundings, a wide range of activities are offered on-site, including flamenco guitar lessons, Spanish lessons and tennis coaching. Or enjoy a swim in the pool, play tennis (even at night), table football, table tennis, boules, or outdoor chess. For children there is a kiddie pool and sand pit.
