Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of the Hampton Inn by Hilton Kansas City/Downtown Financial District, part of Hilton’s mid-priced hotel brand. The 74-room hotel is set in the Gumbel Building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed for office use by Kansas City architect John McKecknie it opened in 1904 as Kansas City’s first large commercial building constructed of reinforced concrete.
Located just off of I-35, the hotel is nearby popular area attractions including Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, the Power and Light District and River Market. Included in the room rate is a hot or “on the go” breakfast and the hotel also features a lounge, f&b shop, business centre and ✅free Wi-Fi.
