Hot new hotels: The Beekman, New York

Set in an architectural gem from 1883, and hailed for its iconic nine-story atrium and pyramidal skylight, The Beekman is a unique luxury lifestyle hotel located in New York’s downtown.

Featuring vintage furnishings and oak floors, the chic rooms come with a smart TV, a USB charging port, a minibar (crafted from antique tables with thick patterned cloths over them), dimmable decorative lighting, designer toiletries, rainfall showers and individual artwork. Selected suites feature facilities such as wet bars, dining areas, fireplaces and/or powder rooms. 75 rooms are located in the new building next-door to the original building.

There are New American and French eateries by renowned chefs Keith McNally and Tom Colicchio, in addition to lavish, wood-paneled guest lounges, and a classic, stylish bar.
