Greece now has an official “boutique hotel” certification… and this is the first hotel getting it

Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa is now the first officially-certified “Boutique Hotel” in Greece, based on the demanding standards of the “Boutique Hotel” classification instated by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.

The designation as a “Boutique Hotel” was preceded by the recognition of the particular architectural and decorative design concept of Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa. The determination was made by a Special Group of Advisors of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels by validating the upgraded services offered by the resort.

Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa has managed to distinguish itself due to its strong character after only two years in business. By harmoniously combining different periods of traditional Cycladic architecture with modern and sophisticated decor, the resort offers guests a unique journey in time. The multiculturally-inspired design sets an earthy and friendly tone, and by encompassing discreet luxury details, it blends elements of locality and international aesthetics.

The Chief Executive Officer of Metaxas Group of Companies, Mr. Andreas Metaxas elaborates:

“The certification of Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa as the first Boutique Hotel in Greece brings a sense of joy, but also a great sense of responsibility for our Group. At first, joy, because our efforts to create a fantastic stay experience that combines the traditional with the modern, the “journey back in time” with the contemporary luxury, have been recognized by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels. Additionally, we feel a great responsibility to maintain and further develop this high level of personalized service, offering our guests the authentic experience that they desire”.
