Madrid’s AC Santo Mauro Hotel switches Autograph Collection for Luxury Collection.

Renowned interior designer Lorenzo Castillo ensured the next chapter of the building’s journey honored its Spanish heritage through stunning décor that reflects the hotel’s remarkable location in Madrid’s traditional aristocratic district of Chamberí. The historic building, with an intriguing past dating back to the 18th-century, served as the former residence of the Duke of Santo Mauro.

Landmark 1960s Athens Hilton to be turned into Conrad Hotel & Residences and Waldorf Astoria Residences.

The iconic hotel opened its doors in 1963 as the first major international hotel in Greece. A hub of the Athenian society, the 506-room luxury hotel will be turned into a Conrad Hotel with 280 rooms and 50 branded residences by Conrad and Waldorf Astoria. Both brands are also part of the Hilton family. The newly renovated hotel (at a cost of 130€M, and €145M for the property acquisition) is scheduled to reopen in 2024.
