LVMH buys again on Rodeo Drive

LVMH, the Paris-based luxury goods conglomerate, has reportedly acquired for US$200 million the former 86-key Luxe hotel on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California, from owner Efram Harkham and family. That would put the deal at an astounding US$2.3 million per key. The 42,560-square-foot (4000m2) property additionally consists of three high-end retail storefronts. It is not yet clear what LVMH’s plans are for the space, especially considering it acquired in 2018 for US$245 million a property a block away on Rodeo Drive with plans to build a Cheval Blanc hotel.

The iconic hotel opened its doors in 1963 as the first major international hotel in Greece. London’s storied Old War Office will be home to a Raffles Hotel late 2022

Opening late 2022 the luxury Raffles London at The OWO hotel will house 120 rooms and suites, 85 branded residences, an extensive wellness space and 11 destination restaurants and bars, including a rooftop restaurant and bar with panoramic views across Whitehall, The Mall and on to Buckingham Palace. Some of the suites will be located in the building’s corner turrets, from which guests will enjoy views over Horse Guards and London’s St. James’s Park.
